Meg graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. in Biology and obtained her Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College in Amherst, NY in 1990.
She started her career at a large teaching hospital eventually specializing in Neurology/Neurosurgery patient care. This involved assisting to establish an acute spinal cord unit to provide optimal care for this population.
After moving to Alaska in 1997 Meg worked on an inpatient Rehabilitation Unit for 14 years where she enjoyed having more time to spend with patients to assist them on their path of recovery.
While healing from a broken arm, Meg became curious about integrating complimentary medicine techniques into her practice. Over the next 7 years she emerged herself into numerous Craniosacral Therapy, Healing Touch, and Polarity classes along with practicing in an outpatient setting.
She is pleased to join Ascension Physical Therapy in early 2020 with a strong rehabilitation back ground, previous NDT (Neurodevelopmental Treatment) certification training, training in Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Emotional Release, Myofascial release, Polarity Therapy and Healing Touch Level III.
Meg’s treatments include a wide variety of modalities with each individual program being created to optimize the person’s health and wellbeing from a mind, body, soul perspective. Treatments frequently include education, body awareness practices, postural reeducation and home exercise programs.
Meg lives in Anchorage with her husband, two college age daughters and dog Lilly.
