Jill is one of the owners of Ascension Physical Therapy.
Jill graduated as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Minnesota in 1994. She initially worked in acute care and the majority of her career has been spent treating outpatient orthopedic injuries.
She has studied multiple physical therapy approaches through consistent continuing education courses over the years. Her emphasis has been in manual therapy techniques and movement re-training concepts. She uses a combination of hands on techniques and movement re-education in her patient care for pain relief, resolution of symptoms, and decreased chance of re-injury.
When she realized what a profound affect that stress has on the nervous system and it’s negative affect on healing she became interested finding easy ways for patients to decrease the negative affects of stress. Through her search she found yoga and meditation.
In 2003 she became a Registered Yoga Teacher and has integrated yoga and meditation techniques into her physical therapy treatments. Before the current limitation in group gatherings she was teaching a weekly meditation class and teaching intermittent yoga classes and workshops in the community.
Through the treatment and resolution of her own chronic headaches she discovered CranioSacral Therapy and became a Certified CranioSacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute. She has over 400 hours of advanced CranioSacral Therapy training and countless patient treatment hours.
