Helen earned her AAS Physical Therapist Assistant degree from San Juan College (NM) in 2016. Prior to that, Helen was a biologist whose studies and work took her from Barcelona to Edinburgh, then Austin and finally to Anchorage. After getting physical therapy following a “not so graceful” fall off her mountain bike that resulted in a broken humerus, she became interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy.
Helen is passionate about helping patients safely return to an active lifestyle using a combination of manual and activity/exercise-based techniques. She places great value on engaging patients in their rehabilitation through patient education regarding their diagnosis, symptom management and appropriate activity modification and progression.
When not at work, Helen enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, be it cross-country skiing, trail running or chasing after her daughter and puppy with her husband and friends.
